Feeling under the weather and looking for a natural remedy? Honey and lemon is the age old natural remedy for a cold, and the two ingredients mixed together really do work. However, if you want to take it up a notch and really knock that cold over before it gets worse, replace your pantry honey with Manuka Honey. Manuka Honey is packed with antibacterial and antiviral properties, which help fight those terrible colds, and lemon is a great accompaniment to loosen and reduce congestion.

Honey, Lemon, and Apple Cider Vinegar Drink
Ingredients:
1½ Cups water
1 Lemon
¼ Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1 Pinch Cayenne Pepper
Boil water in a small saucepan. Reduce the heat to medium and add the juice from one lemon, apple cider vinegar, manuka honey, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Simmer until all ingredients has mixed well. Pour into a large coffee mug and drink. We recommend consuming 2 times a day.
*Tip: The higher strength Manuka Honey you use, the better the results will be. Australian Manuka Honey is rated with NPA (Non Peroxide Activity). NPA and UMF ratings are tested in the same way, the difference is weather the honey is sourced from Australia or New Zealand. We recommend only purchasing Manuka Honey that has been packaged in Australia or New Zealand and is rated using either UMF or NPA. Honey that has been imported and packaged in the USA has a high chance of being blended with other honeys, which will not give you the same results as pure, raw Manuka Honey.
